From the official Peace Memorial Ceremony on August 6 to interviews with survivors and researchers, the team reported on how the legacy of the atomic bomb continues to shape lives today, and how people are working to pass on its stories to future generations.

"Japan's Problem With Tourists: But Why Does It Want More?"
We provided fixer support for a one-hour feature by Singapore’s CNA (Channel News Asia) Insight on Japan’s overtourism. Is Japan truly facing overtourism, or is it more a clash of cultures between locals and foreigners? Beyond Tokyo, we also travelled to Kosuge Village, Hokuto City, Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture, as well as Kamakura City in Kanagawa Prefecture, to cover the dilemmas surrounding tourism in Japan.

We helped with the feature story of a Singaporean TV network, CNA (Channel News Asia) Money Mind, about 4-Day Work Week In Japan. We had a great opportunity of filming Mr Kawasaki of Kamiya Corporation. Kamiya Corporation is a door manufacturer in Kanagawa Prefecture, which introduced the 4-Day Work Week system. We filmed him at work and also at home enjoying his leisure time added by his one more day off.

For about a month in May and June, Rio was involved in a 3D shooting project
Together with a British producer and four Slovakian cinematographers, we traveled from Tokyo to Osaka and Kyoto, filming in a variety of locations. Each place had its own unique characteristics and was very interesting.

We interviewed Mr. Ohama, au ordinal citizen in Japan trying to cope up with the inflation in Japan, and capture a glimpse of his everyday life. Mr. Ohama is coping with the price hike with an enjoyable solution. Cooking bentos for his lunch and dinner.

CueRio's member Rio Mimaki accompanied Mr Walter Sim, correspondent of the Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper, into the area to report on the earthquake that struck Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on 1 January. Rio participated as the Fixer and Videographer this time from just a week after the disaster.

"In Japan's only bankrupt city, the world's most expensive fruit spreads seeds of hope"
We contributed the feature story of The Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper, about Yubari city in Hokkaido. This city is known as the producer of the Yubari King Melon, the most expensive fruit in the world, and as the only city in Japan which experienced a bankruptcy. Rio worked as a fixer and a videographer with Mr. Walter Sim, their Japan Correspondent.

"Are Ski Properties In Niseko, Japan Good Investments? | Money Mind |"
Rio worked as a fixer for Singaporean TV station Channel NewsAsia (CNA)'s coverage of Hokkaido Niseko. We filmed the newly built Setsu Niseko resort hotel and interviewed Niseko property investment experts, who said the Niseko property bubble is expected to grow more.
We were joined on this shoot by a videographer and a sound mixer from Hokkaido-based technology company HBC Flex.

An ancient pilgrimage route, "Camino de Santiago", is gaining popularity in recent years, and many people from around the world experience this special experience. We filmed this journey from Le Puy, a French city to the final destination Santiago de Compostela in Spain for about 2 months, using 8k cameras.

I coordinated the filming of Zambia Handball National Team and its Japanese coach for 3 weeks in Lusaca, Zambia.
As the filming crew was small, I worked as a sound recording engineer as well.
